Our Wedding

There are millions of love stories… but we’re a little biased about ours.

Our Story

For years we were both regulars at the Six Penny Bit, unknowingly sharing the same space until mutual friends finally introduced us. We clicked right away—mostly bonding over our mutual conviction that we were perfectly happy being single. Between the laughter, the sarcasm, and the “I’m never getting married” declarations, something quietly shifted. Neither of us realized it then, but the two people most determined to stay single had just met the person who would change everything.

How We Met

Our first official date was at City Tap, which was one of Jake’s favorite spots at the time. Just as we were settling in, Meghan leaned over and asked, “Why is that guy looking at you?” and we realized…it was Jake’s dad, crashing our date. What could have been awkward became one of our favorite memories: we laughed through it, rolled with the surprise, and walked away thinking that if we could handle that on date number one, we could probably handle anything together.

Our First Date

Over the past four years, we’ve:-Committed to an alcohol-free lifestyle, discovering new ways to celebrate life together.-Traveled, exploring new cities, foods, and memories we’ll never forget.-Focused on our careers: Jake entered the corporate world and earned a promotion shortly after.Through every season, we’ve learned that love is about support, patience, and celebrating each other’s wins — big or small. We balance each other in the best ways: Jake brings patience, caring, humor, and a willingness to mentor and give advice, while Meghan brings honesty, determination, growth-driven ambition, and a perfectly timed dose of blunt sarcasm.

Growing Together

On November 22, 2025, on the Tigerhawk at Kinnick Stadium, Jake asked the easiest question of his life.The whole day was disguised as a free gift from AT&amp;T, which somehow included a stadium tour and somehow, Jake managed to pull it off without Meghan suspecting a thing. Her dad was there, adding to the joy, and it all happened the day after her dad’s birthday, with Iowa playing Michigan State, her dad’s team.When the moment came, Meghan didn’t even hesitate. Her answer? “Obviously.”And to top it all off, Iowa won.Next time you watch an Iowa game on TV, remember that Tigerhawk isn’t just a logo anymore.
